Vitus Signature SIA-025 Integrated Amplifier

MSRP: $30,000

If the price looks steep for a 25 watt integrated amplifier I think that you should still get a serious listen to it even if you were thinking of separates. It is that good. The Vitus SIA-025 is really about musical connection and emotional involvement and that is quite a compliment for any piece of equipment because those special experiences really are beyond words. The Vitus Signature SIA-025 is the result of customer demand for a real integrated amplifier in Vitus Audios’ high performance Signature line of products.

As usual, Vitus went the extra mile and gave the customers what they wanted…and more.  The SIA-025 is not only an amplifier with 5 inputs (balanced and unbalanced), a preamplifier output (for biamping purposes) and balanced speaker outputs – it raises Vitus technology to a new level of integration of components. Integrating so much technology into a very small chassis was a major challenge necessary to meet the performance standards already set by its siblings the SS-010 and SS-050.

The output stage of the SIA-025 is provided by the SM-010 monaural amplifiers – which is quite a feat considering Vitus was required to fit everything into one chassis with a balanced input buffer. The main task for the input buffer is to separate the well known Vitus relay based

volume attenuation system from the selected source. By putting all efforts into developing this true balanced integrated class A amplifier, Vitus succeeded in making the new higher level of integration perform to the standards that any customer would expect from a Vitus Signature Series product.

Analog Audio’s Thoughts On The Vitus SIA-025

$30,000 for an integrated amplifier? We were a bit skeptical at first…and then we auditioned it. The presentation and absolute purity of the music all from a single component made the Vitus SIA-025 one of the finest pieces of stereo equipment we have ever auditioned. Eliminating cabling, rack space, high dollar components not to mention glares from your wife not only justifies the price, it makes it a bargain in our eyes.

The power measurements for the SIA-025 are deceiving. Conservatively measured 25 WPC Class A power, the Vitus will easily drive most speakers. For those with  particularly difficult speakers loads, it can be switched to 100 watts per channel Class AB mode. While the rating seem somewhat low, Vitus believes in measuring very conservatively and the unit will easily handle almost anything you throw at it. Speaker manufacturers will confirm that the Vitus has power to burn. When coupled with the pure Vitus relay-based attenuation system, it won’t matter if you are listening at low level late at night or driving your system hard, the sound will be fast, open and musical.

If you are looking to simplify your set up without taking a step backwards, please audition the Vitus SIA-025. Or if you are looking to upgrade to your final system, put the SIA-025 on your audition list. We are sure that you will be pleased with the sound and the simplification of your system. We are also sure your wife will stop giving you those looks. Call us to today to arrange your audition.
